Hello again. As always, the best place for most recent True Panther news is the BLOG and TWITTER but we thought we might as well let you know about some new on this page anyhow.
The last year has been pretty remarkable for us, but no stopping now. We have a ton of releases on deck. Lookout for albums from Glasser and Magic Kids some time this year. In the meantime, Here's some info on what's coming out in the next couple of months...Also, check the RELEASES page for full info. We can currently only take mailorders through the Matador Store.
February 23 We're re-issuing the Hunx and HIs Punx "Gay Singles" album on CD/LP/DA. Pre-orders come with a brilliant Chiphunx cdr which features some album hits sung by the CHIPMUNX. Also, a limited edition single from Morning Benders, an incredible Bay Area (just relocated to NYC) band making thoughtful tuneful and sophisticated pop music.

March 9 3 INCREDIBLE 12"/DA ep's coming out on the same special day. Each is special in its own way but as a whole you could look to the 3 artists for utterly unique takes on dance music. You can order all 3 and get mp3s, including exclusive remixes, instantly.
Lemonade is also available as a USB bracelet, a new evolution in our life in "formats" that we're really proud of!

Hey everyone, aside from the below, we've been pretty lax about updating the news section. SORRY! Trying to get a new website set up to make this process a little bit easier, but in the meantime go to the BLOG and TWITTER to check out all the latest news (and useless Rancid-praise posts and superflous personal information, respectively, of course).
The next couple of months will be busy ones for Girls. Leading up to the September 22nd release of their debut full length, "Album" (pictured above), they'll be touring with Pains of Being Pure At Heart, then Los Campesinos! in the US and as headliners later in the year, releasing a slew of singles and generally tightening up their already unstoppable game. NO BIG DEAL. Girls' core duo, Christopher Owens and Chet "JR" White, are now bolstered by guitarist John Anderson and drummer Garret Godard, and as those of us that saw them recently in NYC and SF can attest, wet the eyes and explode the hearts of the willing.
To celebrate one of the greatest songs we've ever heard (...ever), and one of Pitchfork's Top 100 Songs of last year, we're issuing Hellhole Ratrace as a limited edition 10" single available in stores August 18th, and at Girls' shows with Los Campesinos.
In addition to the record, we'd like to offer you the entire 10" for free digitally. Download both Hellhole Ratrace in its remixed/remastered glory and the also epic brand new b-side "Solitude". Here's to an amazin' indian summer!
Girls- A. Hellhole Ratrace (mp3)
Girls- B. Solitude (mp3)
In case you haven't seen Aaron Brown's video for the song, it's gorgeous....

Ok, so we maybe be a full 19 days into this new year, on the precipice of a "new era" but I want to take a bit of time to summarize the epically awesome press that came through for our artists recently, and the even more righteous futures ahead.
As a label, we're really honored to be in the newest issue of FADER as a Label To Watch. It's an honor to be listed on the same page as Woodsist and Akwaaba
GIRLS
http://www.myspace.com/girlssanfran
* Girls completely demolished the Knockout on New Year's Eve. I was pretty pumped to be there. Sandy Kim took some awesome photos check them HERE
* Girls made a few pretty amazing end of the year lists. Pitchfork's top 100 songs (the only band on the list w/o a real album), Gorilla Vs. Bear 1 and Most Likely to Succeed also still hometown favorites with a Band to Watch nod from the SF Weekly.
* We're all really excited for the next year, with a Hellhole Ratrace 7" coming, some sxsw shows, and of course the debut album and subsequent tour dates EVERYWHERE after that!
GLASSER http://www.myspace.com/glasssser *Glasser is the newest addition to our proud True Panther family! Watch for her 3-song 12" in the beginning of March with artwork by Tauba Auerbach. Remixes for the record are solicited and ALMOST done, should feature some heavyhitters like Chairlift, YACHT, Lucky Dragons, Tanlines, Lemonade, Delorean, John Talaborn, Stay High, oh man oh man oh man oh man! We are siked.
* Very Short List gave Glasser some amazing props. So did the uncharacteristically prophetic L.A CityBeat.
* Also, playing some sxsw shows and L.A area jams.
FLY GIRLS http://www.myspace.com/representingnyc
* Fly Girls are 5 12-14 year old girls from Brownsville. This is their first ever record coming out on Sockets on CD and True Panther on vinyl .We're INSANELY siked for this. More news shortly but the release party will be March 11@the New Museum!
